He was a bit before my time too, but growing up in Portland, he was the stuff of legend. The memorial Coliseum today is the place where they hold boat shows and the like. In the late 80s-early90s, it was the home of The Blazers and the atmosphere as electric--whether the Lakers were in town or it was a midweek game vs. Cleveland. It was people like Drexler and Kersey on the floor, but they were in a house Walton built.
